Pioneer Day & A Really Tall Bike!

So yesterday was Pioneer Day, complete with parade, fireworks, and a fair. I went with my family and we hung out all day. It was good fun except for the fact that I was dead tired after words. So starting with the parade, which was hilarious, especially with my two cousins together. Wow... There was even some romance thrown into the mix if you believe it. If not that's your problem. Anyway, my cousin Jeff saw the Wendy's hummer with Wendy inside. So he yells out at the top of his lungs, "Wendy! I know you!" She in turn leans out the window brandishing coupons galore! Instead of letting the opportunity go, Jeff runs after her and snatches his prize. Although I wouldn't reccomend falling in love with those fast food chain people. He found out later that she was cheating on him with Ronald McDonald and possibly the King. In spite of being temporarily shattered, we enjoyed the rest of the parade in relative peace and happiness. Haha! Next up, the fair, carnival, or whatever else you call it. We immediately plunged into the fray unfraid of anything. Now I have to say, where else in the world can you get slightly questionable food that you have no idea what's in it for ridiculously high prices that you pay for anyway? The joys of carnival food, we all had something like Navajo Tacos, Gyros, Pizza, etc. Once fed and happy again we wandered amongst the booths searching out interesting things. We discovered an Asian booth and my cousin Ashlee was in total bliss. She bought a hugemungous fan decorated with dragons and a white marble statue of a dragon vs. a pheonix. It was pretty sweet. We continued wandering and checked out some sweet henna tattoos, but ran out of time and fundage for one. Which was okay in the long run. I didn't mind though. As we decided to head off to the car, Andrew, Jeff and Dennis(he show'd up halfway through the day) started talking to a guy on a really tall bike. The guy was extremely nice and as Andrew was talking to him, he was invited to try out the giant bike. After several botched attempts to even get on the bike and a demonstration from the biker, he managed to hoist himself onto the bike with relative ease. Getting down seemed easier to me, so I didn't try. Andrew did pretty good up so high. I think he wants one now, it wouldn't surprise me.
Jeff triumphantly claims his woman
and some sweet coupons!

He's doing pretty dang good I'd say.
